CD Ripping

When I rip CDs to the PC, I am not able to change bite rate quality from 192kbps to anything higher even though it specifies that I selected a higher rate transfer, ie. 320 kbps.  I attempted ripping multiple CDs, all had same result.

  We have identified that this is a bug with the latest RealPlayer version and our developers are working on a solution. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and hope that updates in the future will resolve the issue.

  The workaround would be changing the bite rate after copying the files to the Library.

  - From the RealPlayer's Library, select all the files you want to change the bite rate.

  - Click on ''Convert''
  - Click were it says ''Convert to''.

  -Chose the mp3 format.
  - Click on ''Details''.
  - Choose the desired bit rate in Quality (drop down menu, below audio details).
  - Click ''OK'' twice.
  - The file will be automatically converted to MP3 with the selected Bit Rate.

  I am limited to 192kbps for m4a/AAC format (and several others) when I save from CD.

  This is very recent change, had no problem over many years as user.

  I am able to save to MP3 at 320kbps, or even higher with MP3 lossless formats.  Very odd.

  Looking at response from Support, a possible workaround would be to save as MP3 at bitrate we want our 'preferred' user format, i.e. m4a/AAC for me.

  Then, convert the MP3 file to whatever we want?  Correct?

  Regardless, a fix would be welcome.

  We're checking with our developers whether there is a solution to the issue you are describing and we'll let you know once we have an update. In the meantime, you can try the workaround you guessed yourself - saving in mp3 at the desired bitrate and then converting to your preferred format.

  P.S. We'd really appreciatye it if you could let us know what exact version of RealPlayer is installed on your PC - see: How can I tell what version of RealTimes (RealPlayer) I have on my PC?
