Problem Solved - "Download a Video" not working in RealPlayer Version 18.1.11.204

Update:

I uninstalled, then reinstalled.  Works great again!

 

I'm not sure why I didn't do this in the first place.  Guess I'm a bit overwhelmed with a new PC, and the small flurry of other programs I've been installing.

Hello,

 

I am using Windows 10.

 

I currently have installed RealPlayer win32, Version 18.1.11.204

 

I was forced to transition to Windows 10 very recently, as my Windows 8.1 machine started experiencing critical problems, so I have little history of using RealPlayer on "this" machine.  I did, however, manage to download one or two brief videos to test things out, upon my initial installation of RealPlayer on this machine.  It seemed to be working great.

 

A message later popped up telling me an update was available and I allowed it, thinking nothing of it.

 

Today, while attempting to download a video, I have found that the "Download a Video" feature flatly refuses to open, by any method.

 

The prompt is showing up, when I'm on websites like YouTube.  The "Download this Video" button appears to "click", but nothing happens.

 

When right clicking the RealPlayer icon in my task bar, etc. and choosing "Download Videos", it first appears to be opening the downloader, but nothing actually opens up.

 

Is this a known problem, and is it being worked on?

  I should have also made clear, when trying to open "download videos" from the actual dropdown menu in RealPlayer, it likewise does nothing.

   

  It simply wont open by any obviously intended method.

  G'day Andrew. I have the same problem sometimes. I use chrome as my browser, and I find if I click out of chrome, then click back in it comes up, rather than reinstalling real player all the time.
