Why do I get a "Decompression failed" error message when I try to install?
When you try to install RealPlayer on some computers, the antivirus software installed on your computer may cause a "Decompression failed" error message to appear. We suggest that you temporarily disable your antivirus software before installing the player software.
Note: While your antivirus software is disabled, it cannot protect you from possible virus attacks. For complete instructions on preventing virus attacks while your antivirus software is disabled, please contact the manufacturer of the antivirus software.
After disabling your antivirus software, try installing RealPlayer.
After you have successfully installed RealPlayer, be sure to re-enable your antivirus software.
You can also try unblocking RealPlayer behind your firewall (helpful when you get "Offline," "Service Unavailable" or "Action cancelled" errors), or try installing the software using a different account profile on your computer.
