Unable to download from

Why does the download fail every time I try to download a product from

If the download for a RealNetworks product fails or gives a "page cannot be displayed" error, it may be caused by one of the following issues:

- Your web browser's settings need adjusting
- Your firewall or security software will not allow it
- Your web browser is out-of-date
- Your web browser is attempting to play the file first
- Other programs are interfering
- Your Internet connection is unstable

Additionally, make sure that your computer meets the system requirements for the software you want to download.

Solution 1: Delete temporary files and adjust privacy and security settings.

Please see Resetting your web browser for instructions.

Solution 2: Adjust your firewall software to allow the download.

Solution 3: Update your web browser.

The pages at are designed for Internet Explorer 9 and later, Chrome 36 and later, the new Windows 10 Edge browser, and Firefox 36 and later. If you are using an older browser, you may have problems viewing or downloading from these web pages.

To check which version of your browser is installed:

1. Open your web browser.
2. From the Help menu, choose About. The version of the web browser should be listed here.

2. From the Apple menu, choose About. The version of the web browser should be listed here.

To update your web browser version, please visit the manufacturer's website. RealNetworks recommends running the most current available release that is not a beta or pre-release version.

Solution 4: Set your browser to save the file instead of automatically playing it.

When you click a link, the web browser always attempts to play the file first. In some situations, you can avoid download problems by using the direct download command in your browser:

1. Open your web browser.
2. Right-click the link, and then select Save Link As or Save Target As from the menu that appears.

1. Open your web browser.
2. While holding down the CTRL key, click the download link, then select Save Link As or Save Target As from the menu that appears.

Solution 5: Close background programs.

Download problems may be caused by other software running at the same time. Temporarily disabling these programs while you download may solve the problem.

Please see the article Close programs running in the background in Windows.
