Blank screen or HTML code when loading RealTimes or RealPlayer

Why do I get a blank page or see programming code when I open RealTimes or RealPlayer?

This is caused because the Windows component that handles the loading of web-objects isn't registered or known to the program. This can cause script errors or blank pages to load when a program tries to load information from the web. One of these solutions should help:

Solution 1: Reset Internet Explorer

If you're seeing HTML programming code instead of a regular web page, you may be able to solve the problem by resetting Internet Explorer and then making it your default web browser.

Solution 2: Reinstall Active Scripting

Windows Vista, 7 and 8:
1. Click Start.
2. Type CMD into the Search box at the bottom of the Start Menu and press the Enter key.
3. Right-click on CMD from the program list and select "Run As Administrator".
4. A black console window will appear. Please enter regsvr32 jscript.dll and press the Enter key.
5. You'll see a message that says "RegisterServerDLL jscript.dll has succeeded". Click OK on this message.
6. Restart your computer to finish this process.

Windows XP (RealPlayer only):
1. Click Start.
2. Click Run.
3. In the Run box, type in regsvr32 jscript.dll and click OK.
4. A message will appear saying "RegisterServerDLL jscript.dll has succeeded". Click OK on this message.
5. Restart your computer to finish this process.

Once you've completed these steps, try loading the program again. The program should now load as intended.
