Why do I get partial files when downloading videos from other websites?
If you select to watch a video in HD or High Quality on a website using Internet Explorer, and then try to download the video, you may get an unplayable, partial file.
To work around this issue, use the RealPlayer browser: With the player open on your desktop, click the logo in the upper left and select Download a Video – this opens the downloader and you can paste in the URL of the video you wish to download.
If your download consists only of an advertisement shown before the video clip, then it is likely that the video itself is not downloadable due to restrictions set by the video's owner.
