Clips missing from Library

Some video and/or audio content in my Library disappeared. Where are the missing clips?

When you play or save files, the application stores all information about them in its database and creates a list of those files in its Library view. Sometimes when you manually move or delete files from your computer, the changes aren't automatically updated in the application database.

RealPlayer and RealPlayer Cloud: It's also possible that the missing files were put in Private Mode. If this is the case, please click on and read "How to make a Private clip public again" in Private Mode Help.

For other issues, you can scan and re-import the missing clips--as long as they have not been deleted from your hard drive.

To find and re-import your songs:

1. Open RealTimes (or RealPlayer).
2. Select File from the menu.
3. Click Scan Disk For Media.


4. Follow the on-screen instructions to import the clips. After you re-import the clips, the database is updated with new clip locations and you should see them in your library again

If you know where the Video/Audio content is stored on your computer, you can also import the media manually:

1. Open RealTimes (or RealPlayer).
2. Select File from the menu.
3. Click Add Files To Library.
4. Locate the media clips on your computer.
5. Select the file name(s) and then click Open

Note: To automatically scan for and import the clips that you have downloaded or copied to your computer, you can add folders to your watch list. The clips copied or downloaded in watch folders will be automatically imported.
