RealPlayer trimmer not working
My computer recently updated it's Real Player. Now I cannot trim MP3 audio.
When you move the bar to the time you want to start and end the audio clip, it goes back to the beginning or they come together where there is nothing in between.
Please help

Re Cristin: I had the same problem. I would click on the update tab and the message I received was that I already had the latest version installed. I would then try using the Trimmer program with no success. Best advice is to uninstall RealPlayer and then re-download the program. That immediately fixed the issue and I have successfully trimmed an MP3 file. Please post if this works for you.

Not only will the trimmer not trim it will not even play music for me. Please add my name to the list! ( I am seeing this as an issue that is several months old, why can't we get this fixed?)

I have not had any luck using the trimmer program since I updated a month ago. I'm very disappointed that the update ruined this program. Despite the post saying the issue with realplayer trimmer has been fixed, when I click on the check for update button, I get a message that I have the latest version installed. What gives? You took a feature that I loved and ruined it. Should I uninstall and reinstall or am I just wasting my time? What about re-releasing the older version of trimmer as a stand alone program?

I just reinstalled realplayer and very glad that the old version of trimmer was restored and I once again can trim mp3 files.

I checked for a Real Player update tonight on September 1st and there wasn't one. Then I tried the Real Player trimmer and it still doesn't work when I tried to trim an audio file. The song wouldn't even play in the trimming window. The time kept going back to 0:00, exactly what was happening before. So the trimming issue has not been fixed at least for my computer, and I have the latest update.
Also I'm skeptical about uninstalling and reinstalling Real Player because I worry about being recharged another "one time" fee like what happened last time.

This is a follow-up to my previous message.
Regarding the re-installation -- you won't be charged again if you re-install the program.
Note: If, at the end of the installation, RealPlayer prompts you to create an account, please select the "Already have an account? Sign in" option that you'll see at the bottom right corner of the window. Enter your email address and password and click on the Sign in button and install the additional components.

Hi Maria, Thank you for responding so quickly. The other thing I'm concerned about is whether my "premium" (which used to be "plus", and before that just regular) features like downloading videos and converting files will be taken away unless I upgrade and pay another "one time" fee like the last time I uninstalled and reinstalled Real Player. Also, will I lose my music and videos and Real Times stories too? I have Windows 10 Home edition and I don't know if different operating systems are affected in different ways. Thank you. Cris

Hello,
Our records show that you've purchased the latest version of RealPlayer - i.e. RealPlayer 18 Plus -- this is a one-time purchase. There won't be any other charges after a reinstallation.
You can check your current plan by yourself. Here's how:
a) Go to: https://realtimes.real.com/myaccount.
b) If you are not already signed in, sign in with your credentials (email address and password associated with the purchase).
c) Click ''Plans'' in the left-hand column and you will see your current plan.NOTE: To be able to access the Plus features you need to be signed it with the respective credentials (i.e.email address and your password); you can sign out and sign back in -- here's how: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204040653
For more information regarding the Plus feature (which you can use), click here: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204039343
As for your Library content: Please note that all the videos you've downloaded with RealPlayer/RealTimes are saved on your computer/laptop: C:\Users\User name - your name\Videos\RealTimes folder. RealPlayer simply creates a shortcut to these files through the Library. These files won't be deleted after the reinstallation of the program.
Even if some files are missing from your Library, you can re-import them. Here's how:https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204041533As for the Stories -- Please note that the Suggested Stories are not saved anywhere. For more information regarding the different type of Stories, see: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/205647617
Note: You can always upload your favorite Stories to your Cloud storage space (to upload a file, simply right-click on it and select Upload).

I sort of found a solution. go to your videos. . Right click video and choose the option trim. you can then trim. after trimming, go to the trimmed video, right click it and choose the option convert and choose mp3 or any format of your choice. Then go to the music tab and type the title of the song press enter and your song will show in the library with the word trimmed next to it.
I hope this helps. Good Luck !
