With regards to the inability to download videos, we were able to identify the root cause and our engineering team was able to resolve it. To be able to download videos again, please follow these steps.

    1. Attempt to download any video of your choice (You will still have the same error).
    2. Simply restart your computer.
    3. Upon restarting your computer, the Downloader will be updated in the backend and your downloads should start working.

If the issue still persists, please let us know.

They (Microsoft) are in on it for sure seems like. It's like trying to deal with a Hydra. There is a RealPlayer update where they want, guess what, more money of course! RealPlayer 22 requires you to purchase in order to get the downloader and other attachments you have already paid for. Pay for them again if you like. I think I will try to look elsewhere from now on. RealPlayer made me a Promise when I bought the lifetime update package which includes the downloader, converter and trimmer attachments. This makes me sick.

Downloading started working on one of my PC's this morning. Still can't on the other one but at least it can still work.

Up to the 16th of February 2023 I could download videos from YouTube.

Then starting last night, when I tried to download videos from YouTube I got the message cannot download videos from this page. I can download videos on other sites like before. Just not YouTube. I can't even download videos I posted!

What's the reason for this? Do I suddenly have to purchase a plan to let me download YT videos again? Btw it happens in all browsers. Not just Chrome.

    Thanks

I too can't down load videos. Started on the 15th or February.  Tried all the fixes. Nope!  Then I found this page and guess what?  It's money time for the fat cats!!!!    F.J.M.

null null right right. It's a scam to get us to pay for premium lifetime service again. I have so had it with these clowns. Way back in the day I bought into this lifetime update bull and this crap has gone from happening every few years, to almost biannually, to now two years in a row. Reset hasn't done me a bit of good either. They want to give you 50% off to purchase it all over again and that is it. Can't get in touch with them either. Completely useless.

If the bellow instructions were followed correctly, the version should be 2023.2.17.0.

    1. Attempt to download any video of your choice (You will still have the same error).
    2. Simply restart your computer after this.
    3. Upon restarting your computer, the Downloader will be updated in the backend and your downloads should start working.

Please check your version after this. You can go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer. Right click on videodl and click Properties and then the Details tab. The version number is found here.

If the number has not changed and still shows 2022.10.6.0, it means Windows is blocking the update.

Please note: These instructions won't work for older versions such as RealPlayer v.18 or older. Versions 18 or earlier have reached end of life support.
