Youtube Downloading not working
Everything worked fine a few days ago and then out of the blue it stopped working. Every single video on any type of page I go to I get the error "RealPlayer cannot download videos on this page." Even if I copy paste the URL it still won't detect it.
I didn't have any new updates happen within that time. I can see that many other people are having similar issues with realplayer so I know it isn't just me. I did try to uninstall and re-install replayer already which has solved a similar issue in the past but nothing is still working.
Just wanted to post so realplayer staff can see that there is still an issue happening. Thank you.

With regards to the inability to download videos, we were able to identify the root cause and our engineering team was able to resolve it. To be able to download videos again, please follow these steps.
1. Attempt to download any video of your choice (You will still have the same error).
2. Simply restart your computer.
3. Upon restarting your computer, the Downloader will be updated in the backend and your downloads should start working.
If the issue still persists, please let us know.-1 -
Thank you but there are still issues. I saw this same reply on another comment thread and tried that and it did not help. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling again then logging back in and had the software update after you replied to me and I am still getting the same errors.

Was randomly browsing the internet and noticed the little tab flashed orange. I have no clue what happened but it seems to have fixed itself? It's now able to recognize videos again but it was very out of a blue. Just wanted to give an update.

If the bellow instructions were followed correctly, the version should be 2023.2.17.0.
1. Attempt to download any video of your choice (You will still have the same error).
2. Simply restart your computer after this.
3. Upon restarting your computer, the Downloader will be updated in the backend and your downloads should start working.
Please check your version after this. You can go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer. Right click on videodl and click Properties and then the Details tab. The version number is found here.
If the number has not changed and still shows 2022.10.6.0, it means Windows is blocking the update.
Please note: These instructions won't work for older versions such as RealPlayer v.18 or older. Versions 18 or earlier have reached end of life support.
