Constant update required; unable to find disk in player
Every few days, when I try to play a DVD, I get and message that says something like "Unable to play content without a system update." I run the update and it will play. A few days later, I get the same message and have to run it again. I have run the update at least four times.
After the last update yesterday, I got a message that the update was successful, but whenever I tried to play a DVD, I got an error message saying "Please insert a disk". I am using an external DVD Player. File Explorer can locate the disk on the DVD Player and I can play sections of the DVD by clicking on individual files; but Real Player keeps telling me there is no disk in the player.

This is the most unhelpful support I have ever seen. I cannot find any place where I can talk to an actual person and I have been waiting for four days for any kind of response to this entry. I am cancelling my subscription for this worthless software and will buy something that will actually work.

Lane,
If you are using an External DVD player, you will make changes in Preferences. Here are instructions to do so.
- Open RealPlayer.
- Click RealPlayer logo from the top left and go to Preference.
- Expand CD and click CD Burner.
- Under Default Recordable Drive, please choose the drive letter of your new DVD drive and click OK.
- Restart RealPlayer.

This, as expected, is totally worthless information. I followed the instructions to the letter. Real player still says there is no disk in the player, but File Explorer can find it easily.

Can you please send us a screenshot of your "This PC" where your drives show (Example C drive, D drive, E drive etc...)and also the RealPlayer's Preference --> CD Burner.
