Realplayer cannot download videos on this page
RN Support I am also having this issue. I wasn't able to comment on any of the other posts of this title.Maybe because those were posted months ago.
I have version 22.0.4.304. I just updated it yesterday—9/24/23—but had the issue before I did the update. File Version is 2023.7.19.0.
I have Windows 10 and am using the current version of Firefox and Chrome. Same error on both.
I tried doing the "reboot" instructions mentioned in the other posts, but it didn't work. That being said, I am not having any issues downloading YouTube videos, only FaceBook videos. As you said, you don't control websites. I have been downloading Facebook videos from my church for years to put on our YouTube Channel. Just for testing purposes, I have attempted to download other Facebook videos, and Facebook videos that I had created and uploaded to my own channel, and got the same error. Therefore, it looks to me like Facebook may have done something to prevent videos from being downloaded in their latest update. There's only one other place I download videos from. I can't check that location right now because I've already downloaded them and the provider has removed them and they don't have anything coming up this week. I did just go to a stock photo website and was able to download a Sample Preview of a video.
I do hope you can figure out what needs to be done to allow us to download Facebook (and other locations) videos again. It's the only way I know of to get the videos we live stream to put on our YouTube channel—and, no, we're not going to set up the system so we can be live on both Facebook and YouTube. I've already discussed that with the Pastor. We do good to get the live stream to work on Facebook.
Thanks.

As responded in another post, Facebook made major changes on their end so you can't download from Facebook at this time. We don't control how websites manage their content so at this time you will not be able to download from Facebook. However, our engineers are looking at it.
With regards to your "can't connect to server" message, please "over-install" RealPlayer by going to www.real.com. Over-install simply means installing RealPlayer over the existing RealPlayer. When you go through the installation process, you will be prompted that RealPlayer is already installed, simply proceed with the installation when prompted. If the issue persists, please let us know.

I am also having the same problems downloading videos. My problem is trying to download from you tube. It always says real player cannot download video from this page. I had no problems when I used the free version. Extremely frustrating. Will you e-mail me with a solution ?

I am having the same issue trying to download fromYoutube. I can't even download the test video Real has set up too. I already tried reinstalling which didn't change anything. I paid to upgrade and the old version actually worked.

We are noticing that this is a new type of error message coming from YouTube only. YouTube seems to have made changes on their end. Our engineers are trying to understand what changes they've made so we can come up with a resolution.
Until such time, request you to download from other websites such as Vimeo, DailyMotion etc.0
