You must have selected RealPlayer as a default media player for your media files, this is the reason whenever you open a home video or pictures it opens in RealPlayer. I want you to know that RealPlayer is not designed to conflict with other players or to take the medias from other software. It will only reflect the media files stored on your computer hard drive, so that you can access it in one place.
To change the default music or video player
-
Open Computer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Computer.
-
Open the folder containing the music or video file type you want to change.
-
Right-click the file, point to Open with, and then click Choose default program.
-
Click the program that you want to use to open this type of file.
-
Select the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.
DVD playback works best with a RealTimes Premium or Unlimited subscription, or in RealPlayer Plus with the Plus DVD playback components installed. On computers without the DVD playback components, DVD playback may not work, or may play only the video with no audio. In these cases, to play DVDs in RealTimes/RealPlayer you will need to upgrade to the Plus and install the DVD playback components.
