Can't fast forward or rewind without video freezing up.

    Videos are in my library, and have been for months. This problem with not being able to skip forward or backward during playback is new.

    We tested the forward and backward feature and it looks to be working for us. Can you please follow these instructions to resolve your issue.

    Thanks. The instructions mention "deleting my library." Will I lose all of the videos in my library if I uninstall and reinstall RealPlayer?

    No, none of your files will get deleted. All your files are stored in the PC's hard disk. Therefore, when you reinstall RealPlayer, it will add all the files back to its library.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled, but am still having the same problem. It does not happen with every video, only some of them, but these have been in my library for months and only stared having this issue in the last few weeks. Could it have something to do with the type of file?

    Can you download a new video and try to fast forward or rewind and let us know if it happen on that as well.

    I downloaded a new video and am able to ff and rewind just fine. It only seems to be a problem for some videos that have been in my library for a while, and it's not a problem for all of them.

    Something might have been corrupted with that old video. Can you try to re-download that video to see if it works?
