Burning dvd
The video I want to record will not fit on the dvd.Is there a way I can add a longer recording time to the dvd

RealPlayer allows a maximum of 120 minutes. If the video is longer than 120 minutes, you can burn with RealPlayer.

Douglas,
Can you please follow these steps and let us know the outcome.
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Right click on the video you want to burn and click Convert, choose MP4 as your output.
3. Try burning the converted MP4 file and let us know if it helps.
Usually "runtime error invalid error stream file editor base" shows up if the file is corrupted or you have a bad set of DVD Disks. Try using a different brand.

I have attempted to burn videos to dvd and have been able to burn up mainly 20 mins. with an exception of 26 mins. at least once or twice. Any attempt I make to burn beyond that amount up to the maximum 2 hr. limit, then I get a message about "not enough space for temporary passcode".

You will need to make at least 4 GB of hard drive space available to burn a DVD. For a full 80-minute DVD, you should have at least 6 GB of free hard drive space. Otherwise, there will not be enough space for the temporary files required for DVD burning.
To run Disk Cleanup:
1. Click Start, choose Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, and then Disk Cleanup.
2. Select the hard drive you would like to clean. The Disk Cleanup dialog box appears.
3. Place a check mark in each of the boxes.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Yes when prompted to delete files.0
