CD.DVD driver lost in RealPlayer after Windows 10 update
The latest Windows 10 update (on April 2) caused my CD/DVD drive to disappear from my Dell computer. Microsoft rescued it once, but then it disappeared again. Real Player shows "no CD drive detected" and Microsoft technicians cannot explain it nor are they in position for a quick fix because they are backed up with people having problems working from home.
They promised me a technician would call yesterday (Saturday) between 3 and 4 pm EDT. At 8 pm Saturday night I went online to complain and a Microsoft rep rescheduled the callback for between 2 and 3 pm today (Sunday).
It is 5 pm now and still no callback. I think they don't have an answer and are trying to avoid me. The bottom line is I cannot play nor burn any CDs or DVDs in RealPlayer.
I really need help.

We already emailed you regarding this. This seems to be a hardware failure rather than a Windows or a RealPlayer. We suggest you contact your PC manufacturer.
