Real Trimmer

I'm lost on this one:

Real Trimmer will work with Videos but not Audio files. The Real Trimmer program just freezes when I upload a file to trim or even click to play. I upgraded to 18.1 version and bought the full package. I tried taking peoples advice and uninstalled all the way down and cold booted, then reinstalled from Real Player internet site fresh - but still, same problem. I know Real Trimmer worked before for audio files (I use it a lot) but now it doesn't. I've already went pain painstakingly throughout the registry in Win 7 looking for errors. Any ideas? Could use some help here.
