Real Audio 3 Codec
First, I have thousands of "oldies" tunes that are quite old and VERY RARE that were encoded with the Real Audio 3 codec. I just recently updated to RealPlayer v18.1.7.344. In the past after upgrading to a newer version, I was given the prompt that "RealPlayer needs to download additional software" when I attempted to play a RealAudio 3 tune, and RealPlayer, no matter what past versions, would download and install the Real Audio 3 codec, and everything would be fine. This is the way it was up until v18.1.7.344. NOW when I attempt to play a RA3 tune RealPlayer gives the same prompt BUT it wants to download and install the same version of RealPlayer that I am running.
I JUST WANT RealPlayer 18 to DOWNLOAD and INSTALL the Real Audio 3 Codec like it has done for YEARS !
I KNOW you can supply me with this codec. ALL I WANT IS the single codec, not the K-Lite crap or all the others. This should be 3rd grade. Just supply me a link to download the Real Audio 3 Codec. I've been using PAID versions of RealPlayer for about 20 years now, so take care of one of your long time customers.
Sincere Thanks,

Well, I read your e-mail and this whole deal is BS. If you no longer support the RA3 codec, then how come I was able to get the codec download and installed when I first updated to version 18.1.7.343, you know, the version that crashed every 2 hours ?? But my 343 worked fine. Then the update v18.1.7.344 that was supposed to fix the crashing screwed up my RA3 codec. I will continue this conversation in an e-mail to Support.

I totally agree. This new version is useless and I have removed RealPlayer totally from my computer and will now use VLC. At least I can play my older Realplayer music files. I do not know what they have done to RealPlayer but is a product that should have kept Codec 3. and another problem I have with this company is no phone number for support. Thanks for posting the problems you are having.
