Selecting movie scenes from a DVD

My ability to select movie scenes on a DVD works intermittently. However, I'm always able to select them in the cue .I'm running Real Player 20 in Windows 10  Also, I'm using a new, external DVD drive. I'm certain my Windows DVD driver is current because I just downloaded it. Is this a compatibility issue?

  Have you tried reinstalling RealPlayer? We just tested this and it is working. Also, can you let us know if this is a store bought DVD or a DVD you burned?
