Downloader tab shows only the hourglass icon

When I open the downloader and try to enter a link of a video to download, All I get is the hourglass buffering icon, with no download.... I then get an error message saying that the real Player is not responding.... How do I resolve this? This was working up until night before last... I have uninstalled and reinstalled Real Player and I have what it seems to be the latest version now... Still no luck....

  Something else is blocking RealPlayer's Downloader. Did you notice any changes to your PC for example, Windows update, new software etc... just before it stopped working?
