Real Player Plus will not recognize c/d or dvds and will not play or take any action

I purchased Real Player Plus 22 Jun 2018 and I have not been able to get it to work properly. It does not recognize  c/ds or dvds and will not play them. The main page has no options to correct the problems or indicate what the problem is. 

Your help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
