DVD burner compatibility

MY disk drive went out on my computer so I bought and external drive, Verbatim Mod. DHAA - 98938.  It doesn't seem to be one of the compatible burners.  What else can I do to burn videos/DVD's

  You should have a compatible DVD burner to burn DVDs. You can also check if RealPlayer is looking at your external drive by following these instructions.

  1. Open RealPlayer

  2. Click RealPlayer logo from the top left corner and click Preferences

  3. Click CD and expand it

  4. Click CD Burner and make sure your External Drive is selected under Default Recordable Drive

  5. Click OK
