Video won't play but sound will

every time I try to play a video file in Real player the video's sound plays but the video it self is covered hidden or just plain black I can't tell wich if I run video's from the cloud they work but localy stored video files will only have a black screen with the real player logo and the sound playing please help

  Please follow these steps to resolve your playback issue.

  1. Open RealPlayer.
  2. Click the RealPlayer logo, then Preferences. 
  3. In the Category pane, select Hardware.

  - Under Video Card Compatibility, move the slider bar Most reliable.
  - Click OK twice to save the changes.
  - Close out of RealPlayer, restart RealPlayer.

  If the issue persists, please let us know.
