poor picture quality of downloaded videos since recent update

The picture quality of my downloaded videos was good until I recently accepted an upgrade. The picture quality now is poor.

  To resolve this issue, please try the solutions from: Sound plays but video is blank, frozen, or distorted

  I tried this and it did not work.  The video is still distorted.

  If you haven't tried yet, I recommend reinstalling RealPlayer.
