General error occurred during download of RealPlayer Plus

Just as the download seemed complete I get the following window opening with this message:


"A general error has occurred. There is no common media type between these pins."


I have no idea what this message means. I am signed into RealPlayer after the RealPlayer Plus download and still cannot play DVDs. I have Windows 10 and got no message before the download of RealPlayer Plus that any security programs would need to be disabled or skirted. If I cannot play DVDs, I want my money back - $39.99 - for PRO Order #: A-S00066470.

1- First, as the DVD playback is a Plus feature, you need to be signed in to your Plus account. To activate the Plus features, you should sign into the RealPlayer software. If you are already signed in, please sign out and sign back in.

If it crashes when you try to seek ahead during the preview, please follow the instructions from the link below: 

If the issue persists, please provide the following information:

• Is this happening to all DVD's or just with a particular one? 
• What version of RealTimes or RealPlayer is installed? (See
• Do you have any security software installed (Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc.)?

The more specific you are, the better I will be able to assist you.
