Realdownloader does not work. Has not worked in over a week. Constantly fails.

    Most likely you don't have a path to download the video. To check if there is no download path, please follow these steps. 

    1. From the RealPlayer Downloader window which says  "unable to download", click the RealPlayer logo from the top left corner.
    2. Click Preferences.
    3. In the "Save local video files to", do you see a blank box or does it show a path to download?

     If it is blank, that explains the problem. Click Browse and choose your Videos folder in PC. RealPlayer needs a path to download videos.

    never says "unable to download"  Shows discovery tab with picture of video.  When I click on, that nothing happens.

    With regards to the inability to download videos, we were able to identify the root cause and our engineering team was able to resolve it. To be able to download videos again, please follow these steps.
     
    1. Attempt to download any video of your choice (You will still have the same error).
    2. Simply restart your computer after this.
    3. Upon restarting your computer, the Downloader will be updated in the backend and your downloads should start working.
     
    If the issue still persists, please let us know.

    Additionally, we have noticed today (28th February, 2023) that certain websites have started to throttle the download speeds. We don't control how these websites control their content. However, our engineering team is looking into it. 

    At this time, there is very little we can do but we will update this page with more information as we have. Stay tuned!
