Realdonwloader works for a while, then cannot download any videos until computer is rebooted

Real Downloader V 22.03 306 will work fine for a while, but at some point it won't download any videos from any web page. It either just stays looking for video or it says that it cannot download videos from that page. After rebooting, it wiil work fine on those same pages. I have tried stopping the realplayer and realdownloader services from task manager, and restarting realplayer but that doesn't work. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  Can you please let us know the following information:

  Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer.
  Right click on videodl and click Properties and then the Details tab.

  Please provide us with the version number you see there.

  - Open "Resource Monitor" and "Task Manager" and see how the memory behaves over time. Is there A LOT OF memory "in Use" ? Perhaps there is a conflict with another program ? Perhaps you need to stop one or more programs (with Task Manager) ?

  If there is A LOT OF "in use" memory (Resource Monitor) then install PcWinTech's "Cleanmem". This program will help you to keep memory usage in check. Have been using this program for ever in combination with e.g. RP and never had a problem.

  - Another thing to check is the usage of the pagefile over time in Performance Monitor. GOOGLE it to see how you can do that in your version of Windows (10 ??, 11 ??, .............. ).

  - I would recommend to not install Cleanmem before you have found the reason why this behaviour - as described above - occurs.

  - Nowadays a lot of people have a SSD and then they disable the pagefile. If this is the case for you then I would enable the pagefile and set it to a size of e.g. 4 or 8 GB or larger or even let Windows manage the size of the pagefile. Just see what works best.

  - RP could use Windows' filecache to buffer those videos before saving them to disk. Then If so then you can use Cleanmem (see above) to "kill" the filecache. As time goes by Windows will re-fill that filecache again.
