Large amount of RP related temporary files.
(this happens in RP v20.1.0.313)
RP has a ridiculous habit of creating A LOT OF temporary files over a (releative) short period of time. Over the course of say 1 to 2 weeks RP created some 370 Mbytes of temporary files. How on earth is this possible ? I understand that in the FREE version of the RP video download software the GUI shows advertisements while the software is busy downloading the selected videos. But does this also has to mean that RP has to create this GIANT amount of temporary files ? I "pull in" A LOT OF videos but 370 Mbytes of temporary files is ridiculous.
There could be another explanation for this ridiculous behaviour. I also have the Chrome browser installed. I could imagine that somehow Chrome interferes with RP and that that somehow forces RP to create this ridiculous amount of (temporary) files.
See also the picture attached. This is a screenshot I took when I ran the latest version of CCleaner (v6.11). Here you see the (some) 370 Mbytes of temporary files to be cleaned/removed.
(CCleaner (v6.11) actually double counts the amount of files (red arrows) because it has two entries for RP (blue arrows)).

Firstly, these are not temporary files. Usually, temporary files are located in the Temp folder in Windows which is usually at C:\Users\<Your PC Name>\AppData\Local\Temp.
They are legitimate files from your library that are required for RealPlayer. None of those files show up under the Temp folder. To confirm, you can look at the source of those files by following these steps.
- From your Ccleaner, scroll down to RealPlayer under Multimedia
- Right click on Multimedia - RealPlayer and click View Files. (This will open a window showing all the files with the full path)
As you can see, all the files that Ccleaner is flagging, are genuine JPG files which are thumbnails generated from your videos. Deleting them or clearing them will remove the thumbnails from your RealPlayer view.
Please note: We don't control Ccleaner program's design.

- I was able find out why CCleaner reported 2 entries / versions of Real Player (RP) installed. It was an unfortunate combination of my computer usage, CCleaner and RP.
- I was forced to re-install Windows on my laptop 1, 2 or 3 days ago. After that I also re-installed RP (v20.1.0.313) and then the double entries in CCleaner were no longer there. There was only 1 entry for "Real Player 20" (see picture above). I think I know what happened. Before I re-installed Windows anew, I first installed RP v20.1.0.313 and then installed the last version of RP. But I didn't like that version and went back to RP v20.1.0.313 (still have the original installation file). I assume that both versions have some different folders/files/registry entries and that triggered CCleaner to report 2 entries for RP.
