Unable to play downloaded content

I am Unable to play downloaded content or even play any content I have reinstalled and still NO luck

  What error do you get when you play any of your videos? What happens when you play the same videos with a different media player such as Windows Media Player?

  P.S Please make sure you have updated your Display Drivers

  The error message that I'm getting is says irs a general error And yes, if I play the movie back in another player, it works just fine. This is Happening, I'm both of my computers.
