the RealDownloader shortcut in startmenu and listing in control panel programs somehow survived uninstall. I attempt to uninstall through control panel but am told The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource tht is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an altenative path to a lfolder containing the installation package 'RealDownloader.msi' in the box below. Use source: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\rninst~1\
So there is a temp file that is long gone. I search online and there are sketchy websites offering custom uninstall programs for this instance or the RealDownlaoder.msi file presumably to satisfy the Windows Installer requirement, meaning this is a potential security issue that could lead unsuspecting or frustrated users to take compromising steps.
I also tried regedit but perhaps Ive missed the precise key. I also searched the real.com site for a troubleshoot on this issue. It seems this would be more prevalent, however, I am beginning to think this is residual from a previous real player version, perhaps prior to the cloud feature.
I need a clean install so I can get the download now button to function. Please help me fully uninstall these residual registry components. Thank you
