As of 8/11/24, I can not download Youtube videos on my PC.
As of 8/11/24, I can not download Youtube videos on my PC. I have windows 10. I tried the download through Google Chrome and Bing. I get the message: real player cannot download videos on this page. I CAN download from other sites. The Google Chrome downloader also does not work on Youtube. And the Freemake downloader does not work with Youtube videos either. I have the latest version of Real Player. Restarting Real Player does not work. Restarting my computer does not work. I don't know if Real Player tech support knows about this, since I can not find a way to contact them via email. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I have the same problem. I do not know if downloading Realplayer 24 will fix the problem. I am on Realplayer 22.

Just downloaded and installed RealPlayer 24. It doesn't download You Tube videos either. Click on the download and says 'searching for your video. Then asks for me to enter a URL. I enter URL and it tells me "RealDownloader cannot download a video from this page". I wish I could go back to the version I had a few weeks ago. It worked fine.

I've been having this exact problem since yesterday 8-10-2024. It was the morning. I downloaded the latest version. I restarted RealPlayer. I restarted my computer. I can download the test video IF it is on Facebook. The RealPlayer test video that is on Youtube. No. Nothing.
For clarification, neither the version of RealPlayer that I had at the time, nor the latest one worked. In fact, I downloaded the latest one BECAUSE the one I had didn't work. I thought it was out of compatibility or something.EDIT
Hey! I had this problem. Someone else in the community suggested a VPN thing. I turned off the VPN I was using. Norton Secure VPN. That did the trick. Must be some new issue between the VPN and the downloader.

Brian, thanks for the suggestion on turning off the VPN. I turned off my Norton VPN, and I can now download Youtube videos again. You're right, there is an issue between the VPN and Youtube. I appreciate your, and Lew's input.
