unable to download videos from youtube since end of May 2020
I am unable to download videos from you tube, no matter which video try to download, no matter what browser I use. This issue intermittently occurs and then I guess real player fixes it. I have Window 10 laptop with all of the latest updates. I use Firefox or Chrome and have the latest versions. I have tried 2 ways to download the videos
1) Paste the url into real player File > open window. Click on mouse hover download button. Downloader windows opens and file fails to download with error msg 'unable to download'
2) Click on the real player downloader at the top of the Windows screen. Downloader window opens and searches for video. Search fail with error: "No videos found at that web address'.
I am a paying subscriber and I expect Real player to work when I want it to work. I have tried everything I know to trouble shoot this issue...its very frustrating the amount of time I have spent trying to resolve this issue on my own. I would like someone to reply this ticket or call me to fix the issue. My phone# is in my account details. Thank you, Artie

Technology, as you know it is constantly and ever changing for the better.
That being said, YouTube and other websites are also constantly making changes to their websites by introducing newer technologies. Every time they make such changes and introduce newer technologies, it breaks our RealDownloader.Our engineers have always been able to resolve these issues and as always, we have resolved the current downloader issue.
To resolve the downloader issue, please restart your computer and try again. If it still fails, can you please follow these steps and try again?
1. Open Internet Options from the search window.
2. Under General Tab, click Delete in Browsing History and follow prompts.
3. Close Internet Options.Once you are done resetting your Internet Options, please follow these steps:
1. Using Chrome, Firefox or Edge, go to YouTube.com and play any video and click the Downloader button. (This action will still show "Unable to download" message)
2. Close all Windows
3. Restart your PCNow try your video. If the issue persists, please let us know.

Your comment, 'what is wrong the vidoes are in the llibrary but they don't burn to a disc' doesn't make any sense. The mp4 videos are available to download from Youtube. I'm not trying to burn them to a disc, just to download them to my video folder. I've been downloading mp4's from Youtube to my laptop video folder for years. Something is preventing the download from succeeding. Are you technical support? What is the technical explanation and resolution? If you can't resolve this issue I want to speak to someone who can. Thank you.

I get the same old thing too, it’s very frustrating. However, I think PART of that might be YouTube itself bc I tried downloading a video with about 6 or 7 apps that are supposed to download videos and nothing works.

Some videos will downloads some won’t. I think the actual artist videos won’t but fan made ones will. I kept trying to snag Europe videos LOL!

I have tried to download video (mp4) from different web sites like CNN and I still cannot download any videos. You need to bump this up to advanced technical support to resolve this issue. I want to remind you that I was downloading all videos without any problems for the past couple of months before May 24, 2020. Something happened/changed after May 24 to prevent the videos from downloading in the usual way from youtube using Real Player. If this issue is not resolved I may be forced to cancel/discontinue the renewal of my Real Player Plus annual subscription. Why would I want to pay 39.95/year for a service that doesn't work?
I want someone to contact me as soon possible either through this chat or by calling me at home. My phone# is in my Real player account.

It may be because the folks putting up the video want to keep it private (copyright) so you cannot download as they have made it "private." In order to access it so you can download it, you would need their pin number. What I do is video it (if it isn't too long) with my cell phone and it goes to my icloud account as well, so then I can access it there.
