hear audio, no video when playing MP4 video

received MP4 video taken by cellphone, and then sent to me as an attachment to email.  I saved the file on my desktop computer in a subdirectory that I created.  when I double-click on the file, the audio is playing, and there is no video except the visualizations.  I have not found any setting that I can change to get the video to play.  I checked and verified that RealPlayer will play MPEG including MP4.  I hope that someone can make my day better.  Thanks in advance.

  Please follow these steps to resolve your issue.

  1. Open RealPlayer.
  2. Click the RealPlayer logo, then Preferences. 
  3. In the Category pane, select Hardware.

  - Under Video Card Compatibility, move the slider bar to Best Performance.
  - Click OK twice to save the changes.
  - Close out of RealPlayer, restart RealPlayer.

  I performed the steps below but no joy.  I have audio but no video other than the visualization.  I also restarted the computer and then started RealPlayer; no change in what the file does.  any other ideas?

  Tim,

  We released a new version recently that may fix your issue. Please uninstall and reinstall RealPlayer from www.real.com. 

  If the issue persists, please let us know.
