pc realplayer cannot find chromecast
i have the latest realplayer installed on my pc. when i click the cast button it does a quick search and says "no cast devices found". i am able to cast from google chrome app on pc, from various apps on my android, so i know the chromecast is working.
my pc is on the same wifi.
curiously, a different pc video player is unable to find my chromecast as well, so it doesnt seem to just be realplayer thats unable to cast.

It is interesting to learn that another PC app also won't detect the Chromecast device while others such as Chrome browser and Android Apps see.
Can you please let us know what type of Chromecast device is it that you currently have?- Is it a Chromecast built into a TV?
- Is it a Chromecast device that you plug into the HDMI slot of your TV?
- If it is a plug in device, what version/model of Chromecast is it?
