Thumb nails

Why is it that some of my files have thumb nails and others don't?         Many of the files that had them, don't now. Thank You for any kind of help you could give. BTW many of these files are MP3 or 4.

  Thumbnails not displaying is a Windows issue. Here are some steps to fix it but if the issue persists, you will need to contact Microsoft.
