1- To resolve this issue, you need to uninstall RealPlayer as described below:

Please do not install RealPlayer at this stage, just follow this steps to remove RealPlayer and delete the application folders. You will install RealPlayer when you reach the line number 2.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you delete the application folders as described here: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/220342848

2- Restart your computer and install RealPlayer by clicking here: http://www.real.com/

3- Sign in to RealPlayer. Here is how to do it: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204040653

4- Try to burn your DVDs again and let me know the outcome.

Virgilio asked me to let you know the outcome.  After two days of frustration the DVD-burning process seems to have fixed itself and is  working properly again without me having to go though all that uninstalling and reinstalling process.  Whether this is because the problem has fixed itself or the RealPlayer technical people have fixed the problem, I don't know.

But the DVD-burning job that SHOULD have taken about two hours but WAS going to take 330 minutes every time I tried to start the project for the last three days is now being burned with an estimated project time of 118 minutes.  There's still another 79 minutes to go before I'll know for sure if it's working properly but everything looks good at the moment.  So if I don't write back with another complaint later tonight, you'll know the problem has been solved.

    Thanks,

    Ian

I uninstalled and re installed and it still says,"real player burn system not initialized, no compatible device found or a system error has occured." What the hell do I have to do to get this thing to work again?

You have posted on a very old post. We are closing this post and request you to answer the following by creating a new post.

You have either a hardware failure with your DVD drive or RealPlayer installation has gone bad.

If it is the installation of RealPlayer, please uninstall and reinstall RealPlayer. If the issue persists, please check your hardware with a different burn software.
