We saw the link and we feel that you have another software that is conflicting with the playback. Would you be able to send us your system information file. You can do so by following these steps.

    1. Click Windows and Run

    2. Type System Information

    3. Your System Information window will open, you can save the file .NFO to your desktop and send it back to us.

We will review the file and let you know the next steps.

so how do I fix this same problem that seems to be an issue for at least the past year.  I have the same runtime error. Very frustrating!

    George,

Do you have this program called "AOMEI Backupper" installed? We have seen a few reports of this program conflicting with RealPlayer.

As a workaround, you can follow these instructions to resolve the issue.

    1. Right click on My PC
    2. Click on Properties (This should open System Properties)
    3. Click Advance system settings
    4. Click on the Advanced tab and click Environment Variables button
    5. Under System Variables, click the "Path" and click Edit. You will see "AOMEI Backupper", select that and click Delete
    6. Click OK to close this window
    7. Restart your PC and try to use RealPlayer again

Ok, got my runtime error fixed.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. You were right about a conflict with Aomei Backerupper being the culprit. The directions didn't work for me, so I deleted the Aomei program, didn't use it anyway.

Anyone else that has this runtime error, look at Aomei as the possible conflict.

To Realtimes customer support... you should make this an easy to find solution, not tucked away an only bring it out when someone cries help.
