Problems with downloads

I am downloading video files from You Tube mainly MP4. When downloaded the video is fine on Realplayer Plus but when I transfer to a DVD the video comes out in black and white also the picture is at an angle. Now and again there is also some blocking on the original downloaded video.

Any help would be very gratefully received.

  Would you be able to share one of such videos that is causing the video to be in black and white and in an angle when burning to a DVD? We would like to test it in-house.
