Not playing films anymore
I've saved lots of films over the years and having downloaded realplayer have ended up playing them with the programme. However since they have been turned into realplayer only files unfortunatley now they won't play at all. Initially a popup had appeared saying unspecified error and then when I clicked on that it said there was no download to play .vob files. Now the notification pops up saying there is an unspecified error, I then click on "more information" and nothing happens.It plays all the music videos I've downloaded from youtube fine but the films I have saved on exterior hard drives just won't play.
I've a an HP laptop using windows 10.

Are all your movie files VOB files?
When trying to play a VOB or MPEG-2 file, try this solution:
1. Insert a commercially-produced DVD (in other words, a movie you have bought or rented) and play it in RealPlayer/RealTimes.
2. RealPlayer should then download an additional codec (software component) that it needs to play DVDs. Once the DVD playback codec is installed, you will be able to convert the file as long as it is not copyright-protected.
3. As soon as the additional component has finished downloading and the DVD starts playing, you can stop the playback.
4. Try to play the file again.
