Realplayer Trimmer is broken

The issue concerning file parsing errors that preclude using Realtrimmer has been around for years, but it now impacts all files, all the time, for all file types. I have reinstalled Realplayer, installed the suggested K-Lite CODEC Pack,, and rebooted, all to no avail. Until this is fixed, there is no point in using Realplayer. Please do something.

  Can you please let us know the file format of one of the file you are trying to trim?

  Certainly.  All files to be edited are .mp4, or made so, but every one is rejected as having file parsing errors. Even older files that I have previously trimmed!
