Unable to play VOB format file in Real player
Hi Team,
I am The technical contact person for Real player in Equinor. We are currently using Real Player version 16.0.0.282.
ISSUE :
When a user trying to play a VOB format file which was download by user externally, It seems to be playing but there is no audio and no video displayed as well.
STEPS TRIED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE :
1. We got the file from user and tried that in our end. When we tried, We could able to hear the audio but couldn't see the video.
2. We have checked the " preference tab >> Contents >> media types and when we select the manually configure media types for real player", We can't see the VOB format present there.
3. We tried to convert the format in " Tools >> Real player converter". When we did that It's showing some plans to update.
Users affected : 8
Note : We don't have any other Media player that supports VOB format file in our organization.
Kindly let us know the solution to access VOB format file in Real Player.

You should be a paid user in order to play .VOB files. .vob playback requires additional codecs.

Hi Team,
Even after converting the format from .VOB to .mp4 , Its not possible to play the file. When we tried we are getting some plans pop-up. See the attached image.

How did you convert your .VOB to MP4? Also, we see you have the older version of RealPlayer. We won't be making any more bug fixes in this version. Can you please try playing the same MP4 with a different player like Windows Media Player or VLC and let us know if it plays for you?
