Any updates to RealPlayer usage of Internet Explorer? Getting warnings browsing Youtube

Hi. I'm currently running (on Windows 10 64-bit) RealPlayer v18.1.20.206/helix powered distro T10ENUM. When I open RealPlayer, then click File>Open and open a YouTube url (ex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpWszGgKuXA), I see the following warning when browsing the page for the YouTube video: "Well stop supporting this browser soon. For the best experience, please update your browser"

Is RealPlayer going to be updated to stop using Internet Explorer for browsing URLs from within RealPlayer? Pls advise. Thx!

That message is from Microsoft and not from RealPlayer. Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer soon. RealPlayer currently uses Internet Explorer properties. We are working on changing it. The simplest solution until then is to use a web browser directly to play YouTube videos and download videos from there. RealDownloader will detect videos directly from a web browser.

I tried using IE this morning to download a play that aired live last night, and had no problems. I haven't used IE for over a year cause it sucks ass. I use either Chrome or Edge & usually don't have a problem.

Jon,

Please use Chrome or Edge. You should be able to download videos if you are able to download using IE.

Per comment below "The simplest solution until then is to use a web browser directly to play YouTube videos and download videos from there. RealDownloader will detect videos directly from a web browser."

When I attempt this I consistently get the message "No videos at this page".  This is new since a couple of days ago.  Prior to that it was no problem to download videos by the method you suggest.

Any other suggestion?

Marlene,

Please restart your computer and try again. If it still fails, can you please follow these steps and try again?

1. Open Internet Options from the search window.
2. Under General Tab, click Delete in Browsing History and follow prompts.
3. Close Internet Options.

Once you are done resetting your Internet Options, please follow these steps:

1. Using Chrome, Firefox or Edge, go to YouTube.com and play any video and click the Downloader button. (This action will still show "Unable to download" message)
2. Close all Windows
3. Restart your PC

Now try your video. If the issue persists, please let us know.
