24.0.2.308 RP and RD WTF! WHY?
I am SO DONE WITH THIS!
WHY WHY? WHY? CAN ANYONE, EXPLAIN THIS?
WHY IS IT, when we download the LATEST REAL PLAYER, then CHECK FOR UPDATES, DOWNLOAD THE LATEST OFFERED, I THINK THIS TIME IT WAS
2025.3.26 and then when we reboot or shutdown or restart later for some software update, THIS REVERTS BACK TO 24.0.2.308 Real Player and 24.0.2.308 REAL DOWMLOADER. THIS HAPPEMS after a SYSTEM SHUTDOWN or when the COMPUTER is Started again for the day. THE SOFTWARE in the background at STARTUP is DOWNGRADING THE DOWNLOADER!!!!! ALSO DOWNGRADED the REAL PLAYER SOFTWARE, and we END UP HERE AGAIN!!!!!
RN NETWORK SUPPORT YOU NEED TO FIX THIS! WHY IS THE SOFTWARE DOWNGRADING ITSELF IN THE BACKGROUND, AFTER STARTUP???????????

YouTube made some changes (yet again yesterday) on their end, which caused issues with downloading videos through RealPlayer. The good news is that we’ve re-engineered RealPlayer to work with these changes — and it’s now fixed for RealPlayer version 24.
To get things working again, please “over-install” RealPlayer by going to www.real.com. Just download the installer and run it — when it says RealPlayer is already installed, go ahead and continue the installation. No need to uninstall first.
If you're using RealPlayer version 22, we're still working on a fix and hope to have that available soon.
