Unable to burn dvds.

Hello,

After I convert a video that I downloaded to MP4, I try to burn it to a DVD. I immediately get an  error message that states "A general error has occurred". It continues to state "The software that's used to decode the media is not available on this system. Installing the correct decoders for the files you are working with may help correct the problem". This happens to all videos(including youtube). I am up to date on the latest update. And the DVDs I am currently using, I have been using with no problems. I would appreciate your assistance. This just started in October of 2018.
