automatic resorting of library items

RealPlayer is my preferred player, but this latest version, 18.1.9.106, is driving me crazy. Every time I open the library, the list automatically resorts itself by the clip name. Why would anyone want it sorted by the clip name?

I can't find anyplace in the Preferences to suppress this annoying behavior. Please tell me that there is a way that I can prevent that resorting from happening every time I start the application.

Also, I want to define the way the screen is sorted in the library. Not being able to define that for myself is ridiculous. I like to see all my music listed in the library by artist name, album, and track number. This order is important when listening to Pink Floyd or The Moody Blue where their songs flow into the next song. Plus I can pick an artist and listen to everything I have from that artist.

My work around is to sort by file name which puts everything in order, But should I have to do this every time? When real player opens, it starts in my library and the view is normal, then it automatically resorts by clip name.

Please help me fix this.

We have notified our product team about this issue. At this time, the only solution is to change the settings each time RealPlayer is opened.  Hopefully we should have this fixed in one of our upcoming releases. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Do all of the versions of Real Player do this?  Can I revert to my old version that did not do this?

I've switched to Foobar 2000 player at least at work. It's a free player, simple and works.

It is a disgrace that you have known about this issue for several years now and have done absolutely NOTHING about it. It is causing great annoyance to many thousands of your customers and still you do nothing!!!
