How Can I Upgrade Without Losing My Current Music Library and Playlists
First, let me mention that I have about 6 Gigabytes of music and videos. I also have over 100 carefully selected and named playlists.I have no interest in moving any of that out to the cloud.
I would like some of the new video download features. I might also like to occasionally buy some music or video content. Which I would want added to my existing library on my PC.
I have on two occasions upgraded and then uninstalled and went back to the previous Realplayer.
Please let me know if you have an advanced developer's version of the upgrade that will retain my existing library or "coexist" with the old FoxPro db of the library.
Let me also mention that I am a developer and have access to ETL tools which I could use to export the FoxPro data and then transform and load it into whatever is the new database. By the way, what is the new database?
Please advise, and let me know what are my options.

Exporting playlists is not available in RealPlayer 18 (RealTimes). However, if you over install RealPlayer without uninstalling, your Library and the Playlist will not be deleted. Depending on the version of RealPlayer you have not, you may see a different look in the recent version of RealPlayer.
NOTE: As of April 28, we are no longer offering any versions of RealPlayer that are compatible with Windows XP or Vista, nor are we making RealPlayer 16 or RealPlayer Cloud available for download.If you have one of these older versions, you may continue to use them, but if you uninstall, you will not be able to reinstall them.

I need to point out I've been using your products since RealJukebox under Win95. I now have RealPlayer 16.0.3.51 under Windows 10.
I have RealPlayer installed on my C: drive. However, a long time ago I used a registry hack to move my music directory (and with it the DB folder) to my E: drive as E:\Music.
Does RealPlayer18 use the same DB folder?
What will I need to do to get RealPlayer 18 to recognize this existing DB folder? Finally will new songs be added to this same database?0 -
RealPlayer 18 Library does not use the same DB as RealPlayer 16.
Since RealPlayer 18 does not have the option to export playlist and import external playlist, it will not allow you to import and external DB folder.

It seems as if the latest response contradicts the previous reply about "over install RealPlayer 18 without uninstalling RealPlayer 16".
If Realplayer 18 does not use the same DB as Realplayer 16, how then will it recognize Realplayer 16's music library and playlists?

The difference lies in the fact that RealPlayer 18 does not have an option to export or import playlist. Which is an option that was available in the previous versions of RealPlayer. However, if you install RealPlayer 18 over a previous version version without removing the previous installation the Library does not change and you will not lose the playlist.
Below is how you would export a playlist on older versions of RealPlayer. This is the option that is no longer available:
