Won't play store bought dvd

I want to play a store bought dvd on my computer and it doesn't let me.

This is the message I got.

The DVD cannot be played.  Key exchange for DVD copy protection failed.

Any Suggestions?

  Please make sure the Region of this DVD is the same as your DVD drive

  I am getting an error message "Analog copy protection failed" on all of my factory purchased DVDs any advice? I paid for this application and it only works on an old Dragnet box set I own.

  What is the Region of your DVDs and your DVD drive? Make sure they are the same. If they are different, it won't work. It is a hardware setting which you will need to change.
