DVD Recording/Burning

When attempting to burn a DVD--the programs stops and then freezes; when i attempt to back out, I get a message that a burn is in progress but timer guages are frozen.

  It is quite possible one of the 2 are causing this.

  1. A bad/corrupted set of files in your burn list.
  2. You are having hardware issues (either the disk or the drive)

  To check if the problem is the 1st (corrupted files), can you please download a video from YouTube and try to burn that video? If it burns successfully, it means that the original list of videos have some problems. If the same happens even with the newly downloaded video, then you may be having hardware issues.
