DVD burning frozen

I’ve downloaded realplayer onto my new laptop and the Dvd burning is not working properly, it is just getting stuck on 00:01 min elapsed when preparing to recode files. It’s not my laptop or external dvd drive problem as it worked the first time I burned a dvd but will not work anymore on anything that is over 1 minute in length. I went back to my old laptop to try on there and it always worked perfectly fine but now the DVD burning will not work on there either and I’ve not updated or done anything to the version on my old laptop. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it and nothing changes.

  It is quite possible the file that is being recoded is faulty or not compatible with RealPlayer. Can you convert the same video using RealConveter to MP4 and try the converted MP4? The converted MP4 from RealConverter will ensure it has the right codecs supported by RealPlayer.

  Since you mention this is an external dvd drive, does your new laptop have an inbuilt DVD drive as well? If yes, then you will need to change the drive to your External drive in RealPlayer's Preferences.

  Thanks for your reply, it was one of the clips that was indeed faulty but it was one that I kept including in the playlist every time I tried to burn. Managed to find which one and deleted it so all working fine now thanks!
