Have you tried to reinstall RealPlayer and does it still do the same thing? If yes, something else is conflicting with the Downloader. Please confirm.

Update on Real Downloader 12/8/24:
I can now download videos when logged into YouTube and getting the drop down prompt at the top - center of the screen appears with the mini view of the video recognized as the one to download. This works for both video and audio downloads.
The problem remains when launching the application from the system tray of within Real Player as illustrated in the second graphic at the top of this post, I have to close the program and restart Real Downloader from the system tray to be able to work again.
The latest Windows Update has been installed:
